Unhappy Good independent garage needed in Sunderland

Hi,
I've got a Mk 2 W Reg Punto 1.2 8v.

I've just had new timing belt and water pump and the head gasket done, but the car is much noisier than it was before and not running as quietly. The garage says there is nothing wrong, but it certainly isn't 'right'.

Anyone know of a good, reliable and not too expensive independent garage/mechanic in Sunderland, please ? I need someone to look it over to check the work the garage has just done (long story...) and get the car running smoothly again.

Any help appreciated.

Re: Good independent garage needed in Sunderland

hmm Sunderland, if it's not a Nissa, Ford or Vauxhall you're pretty screwed.

you could try:

Alfatech in Whitley Bay - they definietly know what they're on about.
0191 2529347 Foxhunters Gar Foxhunters Rd, Whitley Bay NE25 8UG

Further afield there's:
Matt Clark Ltd in Hexham
01434 603013

If i still lived down there I'd offer to look at it myslef, plus I'm slightly busy at the mo with two broken cars!

Thanks, Hot_Fiat - but they're a bit too far away from me unfortunately. Good of you to reply, though.
Good luck with the broken cars...

Cheers
