bought my 53 plate stilo multi wagon from glyn hopkin east ham last month i bought in east ham even though i live in swansea. Unfortunately since buying the car its suffered electrical trouble and now has water leeking through the top of the windscreen.i have to say though in rectifying these problems glyn hopkin particullarly adam hussain at glyn hopkin east ham have been brilliant in liasing for the repair to be carried out in swansea at they,re expense also when car went into dealer in swansea it was discovered glynhopkin had not carried out the front strut recall prior to the sale of the vehicle which they claimed had been serviced i complained to kathy buggey customer care manager for glyn hopkin group and recieved a letter of apology from her and a voucher for a free service. so far i am well impressed with the level of customer care shown by glyn hopkin keepup the good work special thanks to marcus roper and adam hussain at glyn hopkin east ham:)

Just been there to get my timing belt done (y)

Good friendly bunch (cheers Nick for arranging it for me) :slayer:

And Dave the tech (y) good job... only problem was once the car was on the ramp he noticed a gearbox oil leak

Bumped on to col7104 there too :D :)

I just want to say as I live in Ipswich and I hear nothing but good things about Avanti, up till now I have been using Disera local main dealers. But after they tried to rip me off for the service an the wifes alfa they can kiss my a*s* Avanti here I come with both cars in future. Oh and as for Glyn Hopkins, here in Ipswich they are the Nissan dealer and when my imported Terrano had gearbox probs they ordered in parts from Japan at a really good price, and the parts chap was very helpful (great customer service)(y) .

are we talking about the same Chadwell heath glyn hopkin here????

Ive seen the red stilo parked out side so it must be.

i must say that some of the staff are fine....like Neil the sales manager, but Mark the service manager...., and the blonde girl (carli i believe her name is) hasnt got a clue. the asian service guy is just plain rude.

You guys at chadwell heath have damaged my car by the way!!!!!

Last time i was at there, about 3 weeks ago there was not one person in the showroom, one of the sales guys (a young fella) was painting a toy car....walking off and looking at it and then repainting it with what looked like tip-ex. FUN FUN FUN.

I gotta rant about Mark Peel though.... i specificly told the guy that i wasnt coming back just to have one of my many faults fitted as i live in loughton and have to work and cant keep taking time off, so what happens, i get a phone call yesterday (missed it, so i rang him back TWICE) and he told me to bring my car down to have it fixed.....so....i thought id ask the question... "have you got all the parts like i asked????" his answer was "no".

Damn..... im getting peed off with glyn hopkin.....Neil Bensted, Kathy Buggey and all the other cronies. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

Hey Nick, well said mate.

I'm looking for a trustworthy garage at the moment and as I live in Walthamstow I'd consider driving my Cinquecento to Romford.

It needs an off-side headlamp replacing, the electrics on the fog light are faulty, the washer leaks and is due a service before its MOT.

Also need to fix a small dent on the off-side wheel arch, depending on cost.

Cheers
Fabien

Walthamstow is north east London way. Yes East Ham is nearer. I take it you mean the one on the Barking Road? There is also one in Leyton, which is stones throw, but I don't know if it is any good. cheers.

Romford isnt far atall from Walthamstow. TBH though mate, the work you need doing can be done easily by a local place. You can request they use fiat parts and pay the extra expence. It might be nice to get it done by an official fiat garage but they will charge you extra because they are Fiat.

Give Coachworks a call in chingford. They are a fully qualified bodyshop too so could do all of the work you require and they are Fiat approved.

Hey I think I will give Coachworks a call and see what they say. Bushboy is there a contact name you recommend? cheers mate

Recently bought a Grande Punto Eleganza and booked it in at Romford for its annual service and MOT.
Gotta say - fantastic customer service. The two guys at the desk (sorry didnt get their names) were really friendly.
Got my car there at 8am and it was ready for collection at 12.30 - serviced, MOT'd and cleaned!

I would definitely use this garage again and would highly recommend it to others.
Well done Glyn Hopkins Romford (Chadwell Heath) ! (y)
