Exclamation A Definate Money Saving On Mot's

this is posted on marea section and been told it should be on here aswell.
when next taking your car for an mot take it to your nearest council yard, as they have to mot there own vehicle's by law they have to mot the general public's. as they cant carry out repairs they are not going to find things wrong with your car that arnt there. (as some shady garages do)
saving you all money. heres the link lots of money saving ideas on here, go onto motoring section and its in there. any questions please ask. mine sailed through no recomendations and it had been a cat3 write off (repaired it first).

Re: A Definate Money Saving On Mot's

Personally i'd like my car MOT'd by someone who knows my car & its potential faults.....my kids & wife use it daily so i'd rather save money elsewhere.

thats fine, these are qualified mechanics and they wouldn't be able to carry out mot's if they didn't know what they we're doing.

Re: A Definate Money Saving On Mot's

Yeah, I remember this tip back in the mid-eighties, when I was at University. I took my Mk1 Escort to some kind of bus depot, where they did MOTs. It wasn't an automatic pass, but you felt you could trust the testers.
(Maybe I should take the Ulysse to a bus depot )
