Thumbs up Arnold Clark FIAT in Ayr....

Gotta say, after a recommendation from a member on this forum (T14086) I took the plunge and went to get my car MOT'd and serviced at the FIAT dealership in Ayr.... and was suprisingly impressed!!

I've had my car in at various garages - both dealerships and independant garages - and not once have I received a service like yesterday.

I dropped the car in and in mentioning that I had to get to the train station to get back to my work, the girl at reception offered to get one of their designated drivers to take me there. 5 minutes later - the wee dude appeared, rubbished any talk of taking me to the station but instead took me all the way back to my work 15 miles away - free of charge!!

He even apologised that he couldnt come and pick me up later coz he had already booked someone in - but in future to let them know and they will come and pick my car up for me and bring it back - free of charge!!

Also, got a cracking 41 point service and MOT for a superb price (cheers again T14086) and the mechanic came out to fill me in on what might need done in the coming months (door straps a bit creaky, lambda sensor on its way out, oil sump slightly corroded) but was in no way pushy about them doing the work, but added if I wanted them to carry out the work, they would sort me out with a decent discount. The girls at the front desk were also nice and friendly and pointed me in the direction of my newly washed, semi valeted, road legal car - couldnt ask for more!!

All in all a top service - can't recommend highly enough... and again big thanks to T14086!!

I got a timing belt and rocker cover gasket done there when I first got my Cinq, all work done as instructed and ready when they said it would be so I was pleased.

I've had work done at Bickets Fiat Kilmarnock too and they are good too.

Re: Arnold Clark FIAT in Ayr....

Cheers Mulge,your welcome

Obviously things never go to plan all the time but its welcoming to see some dealerships really trying hard & going out of their way to keep customers happy I know there was some recent managerial changes there & they have some very experienced & knowledgeable techs there which has obviously benefitted the customer.
Wouldn't it be nice to see more encouraging posts like this
