Fiat silverlink (north east)

Had a great encounter with them a few weeks back. Needed a quote for a coil pack and they were demanding a chassis number which I couldnt be arsed to check, so he asked for my reg. Then told my the reg wasn't a fiat punto but another car. I was like wtf im sure its a fiat mate...can I not just tell you what model it is? Then he claimed I didn't know the exact model of my car...mmmm think I do!

Then I went down to them and ended up getting a mechanic out to confirm it was indeed a fiat punto!

Then got quoted £160 per coil pack ....

That doesnt sound like a great encounter. Have you tried using Benfield fiat, as the guy in the parts department seems to know more than the eper

Re: Fiat silverlink (north east)

Why is the Silverlink better than Benfield? I'm getting my new GP from Reg Vardy in Sunderland because of an experience with Benfield sales.

I get any work done in Consett at a Fiat specialist (used to be a dealer when I got my first car - Tipo DGT). They have all the gear and any services they do don't infringe on your waranty.

They charge about half the labour the main dealers do.

From my experiences of main dealers Gainmanor is by far the best.

I bought my car from benfield and it had a slight electrical fault, it went backwards and forwards about 8 times (they did nothing to the car) then the warrenty ran out and they told me I would now have to pay for a new body computer becasue they found what the problem was (strange that the warrenty had just ran out), I said no and took it to gainmanor who instantly diagnosed a faulty earth and fixed it free of charge.

Nicer set of people at Gainmanor too.

Re: Fiat silverlink (north east)

Personally i think Benfield are best for parts (better knowledge base), and gainmanor are best for service (havent had much experience though).

Re: Fiat silverlink (north east)

If anyone wants to buy a New or Used Fiat in the North east, send them to me.

I work for Gainmanor - have done for 3 years, I promise to do my best to look after you guys.

We've been doing the best deals for customers for ages.

Have a read through the testimonials bit in customer waiting - I get the most positive feedback

Wish I'd know that 8 days ago, I ordered my GP from Reg Vardy in Sunderland and should be getting it early next week.

Can you "specials" on accessories too?

Gainmanor have been trading since May 2003.

If I'm brutally honest I have been there "nearly" 3 years.

We started trading as Gainmanor Fiat on the 1st August 2003 which is when I started.

We opened our site at Silverlink that day in a glass tent which was located opposite our main building,.

Our main building has only been open since April 2004.
