Excessive & Ridiculous Labour Charges

Waht is the most ridiculous labour charges have you been quoted, the most ridiculous & excessive I have been quoted was £35 per hour plus VAT, and that was not even a Fiat Dealership.

Dark Night, £35 an hour is cheap. Bicknells in Worcester (Vauxhall) charged us £90 per hour.

Re: Excessive & Ridiculous Labour Charges

Was gonna say, that's actually a pretty good rate for a garage.

I believe that a Mercedes Benz dealer in Milton Keynes charges £99 + VAT per hour.
No hourly rate quote here, but the overall cost is listed.

Re: Excessive & Ridiculous Labour Charges

£25 is about the lowest around, £35 is not bad too, just long jobs where even the £25 gets a bit dear when the labour goes past £100.

Local Vauxhall place is £50ph but a BMW dealer in London is £152 per hour and I've seen a AM DB7 Service sheet and invoice, came to a shade over £4K!!

Re: Excessive & Ridiculous Labour Charges

went to fiat in leeds (town) had a feeling rear axel was bent as car was steering to one side, it wasnt the tracking or tyre pressure, spoke to quality manager who said it would cost me £85 to see what the problem would be. not to fix it just to determine the cause of the problem needless to say i didnt get the work done there. went to my mate who i praise alot, £200 for the axel straightened, side skirts fitted, arches rolled, doors fixed, 2 big scratches removed, suspension checked and fixed.
