Romax - Ross Road, Stockton-upon-Tees

Alloys looking a bit tired? Romax is the place for you then! Sensible price and they actually care about the work they do.

They're cheapest if you supply them tyreless rims but they can also go as far as removing your wheels and having your car up on stands while the wheels are refurbished. Charge £5 per wheel tyre fitting but it's worth it. While fitting the tyres they don't scratch the inner bore on the balancing machine which I'm sick of tyre places doing.

The quality of the finish is great. Loads of colours to choose from. They do all the work in house: cleaning up kerbing, blasting, powder coating. I've already got more wheels with the intention of having Romax refurb them. Here are some photo's of the wheels fresh back from Romax (before I returned with them to have tyres fitted)

The face was scratched - now smooth and shiney.

The insides are sprayed too.

They were filthy when they arrived but you could eat your dinner off them now. Around the edge where the rim sits is nice and rough to aide tyre-to-wheel grip.

Shiny shiny

Out of interest, how long did it take for them to do?

People, staff meeting has been cancelled. You all have one goal today: to get Vincent Chase’s brother, Johnny Chase, a job. Any job! I don’t care if it’s a porn shoot in which he is being gang raped by a gaggle of silverback apes, if there are cameras rolling, everybody wins. 10 grand for anyone that can deliver this to me, today.

I can also recommend these guys, my mate had his wheels (15" standard Nissan alloys) all refurbed and resprayed in bright white. Looks VERY nice, cost him in the region of £180, took them in at about 8AM, and they were done for about 12 midday . Great stuff!
