Garages in midlands

AC Williams Grantham: no real intrest (get the impression the faster they can get you out the door the better), probably good for an oil change. 5/10

Grays Warwick: much better than above, interested in fixing car, good service, getting a courtesy car was the biggest problem as you have to get it on your insurance and provide proof etc. 7/10

JCS Kegworth: as above but courtesy car really simple, get to talk with head mechanic about problem etc 9/10

These people seem to do no wrong. They have a good reputation from members of FF and that's why I used them to but my JTD. Good to hear for a change.

Re: Garages in midlands

Anyone had any dealings with Sunwin Motors Nottingham, I think they used to be Co-op.
I have recently had a service they wanted to charge £64 to replace the windscreen wiper blades, £32 for the wiper blades and £32 labour, I also had the engine warning light come on and was told I needed a new pressure sensor and a new Engine Control Unit (ECU) and that if the ECU was not replaced the engine management light would remain on. They wanted £800 for the ECU I told them I couldn't afford for the ECU to be replaced. The rest of the work was done and when I went to pick up the car the engine management light was no longer on. I am still awaiting an explanation.

Thanks for recommending JCS I will be trying them out.
