Good afternoon everyone.
I have a fiat punto from 1998 and want to test the lambda probe.
It has 4 wires . How much do you have to measure the probe's resistance?
How do I know if it's good or not?
It is a fiat punto 176 1200cc 16v from 1998 85cv:):)

Fist question is, is the EML, engine management light on? do you have a code reader your car may have a OBD2 port, not all early cars did, but if yes you can use this, say, to read the codes/faults; Autel (MaxiScan MS309) OBD-II Code Reader / Scan Tool: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

two wires should have 12v( +12v and 0v-earth- (heater supply)) when the ignition is on, the other two send the signal back, not sure what resistance it is but if its open circuit its had it.

Hi,
youtube should give a good general guide,

4 wires - means it has a heater element as well as power and feedback,;)

does your car have 2 x probes,
 if so swap them around and see if the error ( fault code) moves position..,
