Hi all,

I think I've gone as far as I can with trying to work out what is wrong with my van, I'm not a mechanic and as much as I've enjoyed try to fault find, now is the time to get someone who knows better.

I did have the name of a guy who was giving advice but he was renewing his phone and has not been back in touch and I've had to wipe my phone so I've not hot his number.

Anyway does anyone know of a good Diesel mechanic, preferably in the Dunfermline area of Fife who is willing to take on some more work.

Thanks

hi,
do a web SEARCH for BOSCH SERVICE..,
you may well find results for one of their long established "PROPER" service centres..used to do injector + pump rebuilds for mechanical NOT electronic vehicles..
rather than a guy with a laptop and little mechanical aptitude:eek:

Only one place around here and they don't come recommended. The mechanic I was in touch will sent me through to a place in Edinburgh, they were really good and about a quarter of the price of the more local place, price was not an issue as I didn't know what they were going to charge me until I picked them up. Was hoping to find another mechanic who is either familiar with these vans or who has specialised in Diesel engines.

Problem I've now got is MOT has just expired so driving it given the amount of smoke it belts out and with no MOT would not be a good idea.

Unfortunately the place in Edinburgh doesn't do MOT's otherwise I'd have taken it through to them.
