Hi guys,

I've been a member for a couple years now and although I no longer have my Punto due to somebody writing me off I have come to let you guys know about a dealer to stay away from when buying any car.

Many of you guys helped me with problems I had with my Punto so I'd like to give back to the communnity.

The reason for my post is to warn other users of the dealership called "Welcome Cars" I visited in Swindon on Saturday 15th 2015.

I went and viewed a 51 plate Audi S3 (Not Fiat I know) that was described as, quote... "stunning" (It's currently being advertised on AutoTrader). Heres a quick list of things that were wrong with the car:

-Bubbling paint on the bonnet
-Under bonnet insulation had been damaged by some sort of liquid
-Brakes were extremely rusted
-Dent and paint chipped in the drivers side rear quarter (the guy tried to mug me off saying it was only a scratch although it was the depth and length of half a pencil)
-Dirt had accumulated in every crevice possible (the car must have been standing for a VERY long time)
-The car was not even cleaned in any way shape or form inside or out
-There was dirt in the footwells/coin holder/centre console
-Screws missing from the engine covers
-2 lots of bird poo on the engine covers (UNDERNEATH the bonnet! How does that even happen?!)
-Strange rattling noise coming from the engine
-The turbo sounded like there was something very wrong with it
-The temperature gauge didn't go to and stay at the operating temp of 90 degrees (the needle stayed exactly where it started before I turned the engine on
-Rust in many places all over the car (of course that come with age but it wasn't even mentioned!)
-There was mould in lots of places on the outside of the car
-There was even mould growing on the drivers seat!!
-There were cobwebs in the engine bay (what animal do you know that can survive the heat of an engine?)
-One headlight unit was brand new with a split in the bumper near that light (most probably a crash of some sort that hasn't been declared)

The list goes on and on.

When I asked the guy for a screwdriver to take the engine covers off so I could closer inspect all components he tried doing it with his nail and when he failed he didn't even say anything or get me a screwdriver.

There's so much more I could write, but at the end he asked me what's wrong with the car as if I hadn't already pointed out all these things and more.

Just to add to this, I have just had a phone call from one of the people from Welcome Cars (Monday 17th August 2015) due to my review I left of them on Google. The guy was EXTREMELY rude and out of order. He was using a foul tone and basically asked why I didn't mention all these problems whilst I was there. I mentioned every single one of them along with my Dad who was there with me. He was having a go at me for leaving my honest review, and I told him I have every right to do so. As I was saying all this he eventually said "why don't you go and buy a new car if you can afford it!" and hung up the phone on me. Clearly showing they are good for nothing scum-bags who haven't even been brought up with an ounce of common courtesy and respect.

Moral of this post is if you're thinking of buying from this dealer, save your time and save your money and find a more reputable dealer.

Hope this saves people from wasting their money.

Cheers,
Ash
