Is there a classic fiat place anywhere in Hertfordshire that can do some work on a 131 engine and transmission?

better to look for Alfa/ FIAT indy workshops,

"old skool" is what you need..,
shame Palmer + Phillips are a bit too far,

Bourne End in Bucks too far? Tony Elder was working on Fiats for a dealer when these were new, and runs a delightfully old school back street garage (with his assistant Woody who's just what a Woody should look like) & certainly knows how to spanner '70's Fiats. :idea:

Where are you in Herts? I'm across in Princes Risborough, but often go through Hemel & over to Harpenden.

I actually live in Sydney australia, but my dad has the engine and trans... Which we liberated from a totally rotted out 131 in '93. There was not much else left of the original car... Anyhow, it has lived for the last 20 years in our 1963 Minor..... Don't throw bricks anyone!

Quite a lot of Fiat twin cams have ended up in other cars - we take it as a compliment as long as a good car hasn't been chopped (not much chance of that with a 131 these days, have you seen the prices??!! ).

BTW, does anyone know of an electronic ignition which would fit this engine? it has the TC Weber and standard points at the moment.
I did post a couple of pics of the twin cam minor in the gallery and was trying to attach one here, but no luck with the attachment...

I have a brand new 131 rear panel on ebay at the mo. Think likely there are only a few body's left to weld it to though!!
