Good Garage Guide

Greetings all

I'm compiling a Good Garage Guide and at the moment, the list of submissions is pretty bare. So i need your help. I'm sure most of you have been ripped off or robbed by your Fiat dealer, so if you could submit any bit of information you can to paul@fiatbravo.org.uk i'd most grateful.

I'm looking for:

- Name of company
- Complete address
- Phone number & Fax number
- Manager's name
- Internet & e-mail details if available.
- Your rating out of 10.

Please give any reasons reasons why you are praising the garage - the level of service, workmanship, pricing etc OR If you are wishing to "dish the dirt" on a certain dealer, franchise, garage or sales then please send in all the juicy details as to what they did wrong, how they ripped you off, etc so it can be put up on my site.

I do NOT want any submissions from the trade itself (especially those who work at the garage they are trying to submit information for - I will find out by one means or another), just from customers who have had good or woeful experiences.

I am open to submissions mainly about Fiat dealers, service agents etc, but welcome submissions about Fiat (or Italian Car) specialists etc.

I Would Like To Mention My Local Fiat Dealer Who Give An Excellent All Round Service And Even A Free Valet,or At Least Thats What I Got.prices Are A Bit High £47.00 +vat.but You Get Such A Great Service When You Get In Touch,it Is Worth Every Penny..when You Call Ask For Margaret Who Has Got To Be One Of The Best Service Receptionists You Can Speak To.

One of the problems I have found is that garages that are good and recommended have staff turnover so you are lucky if the next time you use the garage if it gets the same treatment.

A very good idea to try and get a complete listing we can refer to please let us know when the site is up and running with all garages on. The below addresses etc should all be on Fiat website...hope thats OK.

I have four Fiat dealers I've used quite a lot...

Perrys - Aylesbury - Failed to fix anything correctly first time, very keen on charging labour for fault finding and not actually finding the fault £60 later, very rude receptionist. Very good on the sales side car was in excellent condition, quick and friendly. Overall 4/10

Perrys - Amersham - Two excellent services best my car has ever sounded after they serviced it. Overall 9/10

Pinneys - Luton - A garage stuck back in time. New car had many stains on upholstery. Service & Parts wise wouldn't go near them again had them look at some minor faults on the car & they seemed to have less idea than me and thats saying something!...in a word clueless. Sales guy very friendly and again excellent with original deal. Overall 4/10.

Curries - Watford - Only place of 5 garages to get diagnosis of clutch right and save me £400 on other work quoted. Only downside was they broke battery cover and failed to tell me. Overall 8/10.

These surveys dont mean much. For every person who critsises a particular garage another will praise them, different people expect different standards. Its like Clarkson being voted #1 TV personality in one poll and at the same time the most irritating person on TV in another
