Hi everyone, I`m a new member and have joined mainly because i have a problem with my 2001 Multipla 105 jtd. It runs for approx 5 mins then cuts out, wont start again for approx 20 mins, When the engine is running it sounds great but this cutting out thing is doing my head in. After reading similar problems on the forum, everything points to the crank sensor BUT I have changed the Crankshaft sensor and replaced it with a dealer part so I know that isn't the problem,:bang: There are no codes present.
It is also initially difficult to start as if it is out of fuel But there is plenty of fuel in the tank ( just topped it up with 30 quids worth ) The fuel filter is also full and there is pressure at the injectors. I`m sorry to say it`s getting me down that much that i`m considering taking it on its final journey to the breakers yard ..... Any help would be much appreciated. ...... Oh just remembered , I can hear the pump in the tank making a glugging sound even after the engine has cut out ant the ignition is off. I have removed the filler cap just incase it was a blocked breather but it didnt make any difference. I was going to remove the sender unit but the securing bezzle id really tight and difficult to get off .
