Cost of spraying

Hey guys,

Santa brought me a set of abarth side skirts for christmas. I checked out a garage in swansea that my dad used once and he wanted £140 for spraying and fitting them. I thought this was a bit on the expensive side.

Anyway, Im back in bristol now and wondered what sort of price-range i should be getting quotes in and if anyone can recommend and good garages in bristol (or ones to stay away from).

Cheers.

Re: Cost of spraying

i paid £60 for spraying and fitting, but i would think anything over £100 is pricey for skirts

Re: Cost of spraying

i was thinking somewhere around the £80 would be reasonable for the amount of work thats involved.

was £60 in the land of the wales or somewhere more respectable

Re: Cost of spraying

Problem is that most paint shops buy in paint in bulk and if your only having small area sprayed then they have to charge for A. the wasted paint and B. the "envioronmental" charge for discarding the paint. The other thing is, are they simply spraying and fitting the parts of are they colour matching and baking the paint too, so in 3 months it's not all pealed off?

Re: Cost of spraying

the quote of £140 would be priming, spraying, baking and fitting.
