Reg Vardy, Bath Road, Reading

Have just got back from having two headlight bulbs and a stop light fitted in my Fiat Stilo. Brilliant service - rang them this morning (all 3 bulbs had gone in the last few days) and told them I was driving up to Birmingham tomorrow and they fitted me in this afternoon. I had looked at the manual to see if I could do it (had managed them on my Vauxhall Corsa) but no way looked far too complicated.

And it proved they weren't easy - they spent an hour changing them and I nearly had fits when I saw the car up on a ramp. They should have charged me £37.50 for labour but said they couldn't possibly charge that for changing some light bulbs and reduced it to £15. I was well impressed and they were so friendly too.

Re: Reg Vardy, Bath Road, Reading

Interesting!

The Stilo is one of the many cars whereby the lights can not be easily changed by the owner.

My dealership said they do it FOC in first year, but it is highly unlikey that a bulb would go in that time!

I have also heard people saying that FIAT UK have instructed all dealers to do it FOC whenever it happens, but again my dealership not aware of that, and said I would be charged by the minute, or whatever. Be interesting to see what other people are being charged round the country as all the bulbs start blowing gradually.....
