In desperate need of a decent garage. Since the close of Blubell i dunno what to do.

Just last week for example, friend at work with a Punto said his dad had took his car into a garage nearby for a service, he went to pick it up and it's stuttering like crazy, he's not sure what's wrong with it. And i have my Punto booked in there for a service on Tuesday. Dunno what to do now :(

So what's this garage like Chris? Is this the first time you've used them? Sounds promising from your post :)

Yes can you remember Justin from Bluebell who was the ex Fiat Tech?. Well Quicksale tyres is where he's gone.

Quicksale are even better than bluebell because they care about cutomer care too lol. The boss even borrowed me his own car! can't beat that for service.

Its in Ferryhill:-

Dear sir:

My name is Antonino Ramón Merenda, my adress is H. Yrigoyen 926, 5600, San Rafael, Mendoza, ARGENTINA; we have an electrical service garage, we do altenators, starters, etc, we have two scanners to make diagnostics and maintenance, and our service is open since 1958, was founded from my father and actually we own it.

First of all I beg your pardom because my english is not the best; now, I had to ask you if you could help me to resolve a problem we have with an Alfa Romeo 166 3.0 V6 1999, it has a current leakeage (leak ) so in two days the battery is discharged.

I arrive to the I.C.S. unit, and disconectted the last down black chip, the leakeage is over. I hear within the ICS unit noise that relate to the opening and closing of a relay, so i had disconected wait for a while seconds and reconected all the chips behind the unit, put again the code..... and the leakeage is ON again.

So I asked you if you can help us to resolve this problem. I apreciate your instructions.
Sincerely yours.

I take it your after timing belt etc?

Best thing to do is give them a ring on that number and ask for Justin and say Chris from fiatforum refered you (y)

Belatedly............Justin is no longer in the motor trade.

Your right he isn't :(. It is a great shame he was a great mechanic /engineer.

Too right he was and no doubt still is. I think he got fed up with being "on the tools" and it's a great shame he's left - I will still use Quicksale as Simon is a really fair guy and the garage is very reasonable pricewise.

There's new Alfa guy joined who worked with Jus at Vardy's, so he will no doubt know his way around FIAT's too. Alistair, I think he's called.

By the way - do you still drive a Coupe? I've often fancied a 20vt.

I haven't seen a Sprinty about for ages. Come to think about it, I haven't seen any at all for a long time now.
