Angry Bedford Priory FIAT!

Right, I will outline my experience with these people below, I'm bloody annoyed with them to say the least!

I bought a set of wheels and tyres from them on Ebay, so off I went to Bedford, from Peterborough (an 80 mile round trip) to collect them.

When I got there, I was stood in the parts department from 0945 to 1025 before someone served me, I was completely ignored, even though I asked for assistance several times. There were five staff in there, just laughing and joking and drinking tea.

When I was finally served, I got my wheels and tyres and loaded them into my car, then the guy tried to charge me the price I paid for the wheels plus £30 for delivery, 'err I've collected them' I said, 'no but it says £30 delivery on ebay' he said, 'but I'm here, I've collected them' I repeated. Anyway, I convinced him in the end, and the £30 wasn't charged.

So off I go back to Peterborough, happy with my new wheels in the back of my car. On arriving, I went to Mr Tyre (they never scratch your alloys) and as the fitter tries to put the first tyre on, he says 'bugger this is tight, hold on, these rims are 17 inch'. 'Of course' I respond, 'well you've got 16inch tyres here' he says.

So I got back on the phone to Bedford FIAT, did their heads in and got back in my car and went back to exchange they tyres. On my arrival, I was offered no apology or no petrol money in way of compensation, in fact, they were rude and dismissive, they couldn't give a hoot!

So off I go back to Peterborough and I have now covered about 200 miles, with all this backwards and forwardsing, I am seriously annoyed, and £26 down in fuel!

This is the WORST FIAT experience I have had to date, Bedford FIAT are lazy, ignorant peasants, who give FIAT a bad name!

The only upside to this story is my tyres are on, the wheels look pukka and I've learnt about another crap dealership!

TC.

Re: Bedford Priory FIAT!

That's what you get for being a cheapskate and trying to save a few quid!

Seriously though, I'm not surprised they were indifferent. They probably just put them on eBay to get rid and weren't to bothered about it.

Talking Get this...................

When I told the guy at Mr Tyre that I'd paid £399.50 for a set of 17 inch Claws and four Pirelli P Zero Neros, he couldn't believe it!

He checked on his computer and the tyres retail at £118 to the public and they buy them in at £107, he reckons somebody made a big mistake!

Steve, it wasn't the money that bothered me, it was the fact that I was given the run around and wasted a day!

PS: I've just made an official complaint to FIAT UK.

Re: Bedford Priory FIAT!

Leave bad feed back on ebay... not surprised about how you were dealt with. This is typical franchise dealer behaviour in my book; you're not buying a new car, you're not paying for service, we'll never see you again, why should we bother.

Red face Yes...................

I did, I opened each box to check the alloys were correct, then I put the tyres on top of the boxes without thinking of looking to make sure they were the correct sizes, I should have really checked but I just presumed that the Numpty who went to get them out of the stores would have brought the correct stuff, oh well, never mind, I've had my moan now!

Talking Nope!

They were £449.00 in auction, on the photos the tyres were shown ON the wheels, when in fact they weren't on and I had to have them fitted, so I made them knock £50 off!

Mr Tyres charged me £37.16 to fit and balance all four!

Pictures of the car to follow, uh-hum, when I've washed it!

Lightbulb Re: Bedford Priory FIAT!

I would write a letter to the Dealer Principle of said dealer and explain exactly what happened blah blah... cos' i reckon someone's on the fiddle in the parts dept. probably getting tyres through the company and 'losing' them and selling them on through Ebay etc etc...

Talking I doubt it!

This guy has sold over 100 items and has many more listed, all his colleagues are aware of his dealings on ebay so I'm confident he's genuine.

Check out the link above to see his ebay sales!
