hey guys im interested in going to look at a AGP next weekend both these 2 garages are nearly exactly the same distance away from me (roughly 40 miles) anyone have any good/bad experiences with dealing with either?

thx (y)

Ive not actually used either & i'm sure from a sales point of view both will be fine, but as far as feedback regarding servicing (that ive read on here), SG Petch comes out better. All comments i've read about them with regard to their main Fiat franchise are positive, whereas most of the ones about Autoworld in Chesterfield are negative.

If i had to pick from the two of them id go with SG Petch.

Hopefully some other guys from the areas local to you may be able to offer more advice tho.(y)

My wife bought a new car from SG Petch Darlington branch just before Christmas and she seemed very happy with everything. I can't speak for AutoWorld though. Hope that helps.

dont go to autoworld there slow its hard to find out anything about your car , expensive , ( they quoted me £4000 for a rep engine for my doblo i went elsewhere and it was £1800

if you have to phone them or get any info sent out to you its near imposible

I have had good experiences using Walkers near Northallerton proper village garage with a service manager who knows whats what, the dealings with SG Petch not sure on them first time they had to ring Darlo to find out how much to charge this time more knowledgeable more expensive than Walkers by a little bit & the usual nice female receptionist. Walkers is a Lancia Integralia specialist & seem to be enthusiastic about their Fiat side so I will stick with them.

I second that! The service manager is Steve Shaw, all round good bloke, and parts is Ben Smith, the owners son. Andy is one of the service engineers and he really is enthusiastic and does know his stuff. They are so good, we bought our '57 Panda from them a couple of years ago. Jonathan, the sales manager, valeted the car himself and did a proper job of the handover. Top marks to Walkers!
