Stoneacres

Anyone used stoneacres for servicing?

As caledonia have vanished they are now my local dealer, and have sent me a letter with a 25% discount voucher for servicing.

Thanks

Re: Stoneacres

Well we bought the panda from them. For a minor service it cost a fortune and the aftersales wasnt very good.

Also stoneacre took over the lythgo group. I took my coupe there to get the handle mechinsim fixed. They scratched the inside of my door to bits

dealers differ from one to the next but from my experience i wouldnt go to stonacre again. The service we have had from TJ vickers is spot on. They havent questioned the warrenty.

Stoneacre wrexham is about 10 minutes from my work and TJ vickers in shrewsbury is double the distance and I would rather go there than to stoneacre.

Re: Stoneacres

As this heading generally covers Stoneacre I would like to say I will never darken their door again.
I bought the last GP from Ilkeston and had great service but unfortunately by the time it came to change again they had gone and only Stoneacre were left

I orerded the car in January 08 for a March delivery and time just went by. They tried to change the 3 yr 0% to 4yrs because they said the 3yr deal had ended. A quick call to other stoneacre places revealed it wasn't. The sales guy's excuse - they must have changed it! He said why are you complaining. As the car is changed about every 2 years then with 3yr finance I only have a third to py but with 4yrs I have half. derrrrrr

Then the next excuse was the car was stuck at the docks - my a*** -to this day I don't know why it was late and I hate liars so I will never go anywhere near them again.

Yes but they were my first (and only) contact so the old saying is first impressions...
If they can't get it right why would I trust any other part of the mickey mouse outfit.

Re: Stoneacres

I had a bad experiance with Stoneacre at Scunthorpe (this was when i was looking at a fiat punto ((old shape mk4 )) anyhow after been lied to over the phone along the lines of ("oh yes sir we have a range of colours available for you to see and we have someone who can value your car" ) so arranged a time to meet them say six pm got to the place "well out valuer has gone home" "we only have the MK4 in white" and the fact the S.O.B wouldn't tell me the APR figure for the finance "its only £30 a week" was all he could say lead to me walking out on the 3rd time of asking for the APR =[

went to Stoneacre at Doncaster and what a difference Truthful from the start, no bull s.h.i.t. sales and a good salesman who new when to stand back and let me discuss the car with my parents (thank you Janell (a Sikh gent judging by the head "dress") who has transferred to another branch if you find him let me know as he was a great chap to deal with, honest and truthful )

My car came from there...never had a single issue with garage or car in 5 years & no I dont work there.

Unfortunally the first person you normally see at any garage is a salesman...walk past them (unless you want to actually buy a car, however many salesman are very good so it was perhaps a little unjust me saying that?) & talk to the techs is the advice I would give anyone, I find the public listen more to the people that actually work on the cars and appreciate a honest view.
