Exclamation Bad experiences with Greens of Blackpool

They're not a garage, they do ICE/installs etc.

When i was learning to drive, my instructor bought a new car and took it to them to get his ICE transfered. They made a mess of his brand new dash with screwdrivers.

My brother took his punto there to get around £1k worth of kit fitted. They fitted the wrong headunit, 3 times and kept charging him for the most expensive. They snapped the drivers side sill, and left wires showing.

Latest problem to surface, friend of mine took his smart car there to have ICE fitted a few months back. Last week, the car developed random eletrical failure. It was taken to an autoelecrtrican after we gave up trying to fault trace. The rear wiring loom had caught fire and melted togther. The fire was caused by damage to insualted on it due to a bolt being put through it. The bolt was one of three holding the CD Changer in that Greens installed. It cost around £150 to get this fixed.

However, my mates brother swears by them and gets all his stuff done there.

Make up your own mind, but i know i'd never take my car there

Re: Bad experiences with Greens of Blackpool

I agree with u- i know someone who went there to get some new pioneer speakers fitted in the parcel shelf, he got it back and they crackled like f*** and worked intermittently.......

Also the products they sell are such a rip off, the very basic alarm (with central locking) i think costs 270 quid fitted!!!!
