Fiat garages Oldbury (Birmingham) Startins (Redditch)

I have had my 04 Panda for 2 years and originally bought it second hand from Arlnold Clarke in Oldbury which specialise in Fiats. No problem Panda superb no initial problems. I had prepaid for a service so when MOT was due put it in for both then. I told them that I had come quite far so would not not like to wait all day. Went back after an hour "Our Emissions reader is not working the engineer is coming to fix it will be another hour. Cut a long story short was there from 8pm till 2pm!!!! was not amused.

However went to Startins in Redditch (Worcestershire) a few weeks after they converted to Fiat from another dealer. Had a steering problem and they looked at it, reset everything. Problem wouldn't go away and instead of fobbing me off they told me to go straight back when the problem was happening, when I did they didn't keep me waiting got it straight in and fixed it and the whole experience cost me nothing. Top service!!!!

Anyone in that region I would recommend startins in Redditch everytime. Oldbury were just a waste of time!

Cool, I use Startins aswell, they are not always perfect but way way better than the usual shower of useless you normally find at most dealerships.

(If anyone has a BMW though, Sytner Solihull are excellent, great coffee lol!)

Oldbury had a problem with their emission tester and they are a waste of time?

Emma. Are you near Evesham? If so try Adrians Autos next time.

Surely you would've been more comfortable in a hotel?

Scrogg: You might be thinking of Brights whose site was actually quite large although not evident from the main road (It went from Waterside to Cheltenham Road and effectively landlocked the corner site). You will find Adrians Autos to the rear of the Vale showroom on Cheltenham Road, its on the left as you go towards the river past the college. (Not to be confused with the Bosch Service centre on the same estate)

BIG problems with Startins Fiat Redditch.....car was in this week for 2 days to look at clutch & gearbox problems......told me I did have a problem(no sh!t@ sherlock!!)
All they did was to check air con/adjust the headlamps(for 2 DAYS??)...NEVER called me..went to collect car tonite...but their test driver had gone home...aah bless....won't be using them again.....& they're only 5 minutes down the road .
Looking for another dealer in Redditch/Bromsgrove/S.Bham area...any ideas???

No really great ideas, I'm afraid, but such is the lot of the Fiat owner with a warranty to maintain! That said, I used Grays of Warwick for a Panda warranty check and again for the first service.. largely because it has the fewest negative comments of any Midlands dealer. Startins would be much more convenient.. but bad experiences of the Peugeot franchise which has been on the site for about two decades left me less than keen. Grays were attentive and effective for the warranty check, but a tad costly for first service (£168). Thinking of taking it to an independent next time: perhaps Motor-Mech in Birmingham?

& STILL had no call from anyone at Startin Fiat after 3 days to appologise/sort it......(including 1 email & 1 letter to them..)

Try Carstins at Balsall Common. I have always (over 25yrs) had excellent service from them.
