Thumbs up Motor-Mech - Birmingham

Just had an uprated clutch fitted to my Stilo by these people. No hassle, no calls to say theres a problem, just superb service from professionals who know their Italian cars.

Charged me £259.00, Hylton fiat wanted £460.00. Would recommend them ayday.

Yep! Have used them several times - Excellent. I find there is usually a bit of a wait to get your car booked in - but worth the wait

I waited about a week and saved £200 and I know the job's been done properly.

Re: Motor-Mech - Birmingham

Motormech had several visits from my Coupe!
Even when a valve cracked and I was expecting a big(ish) bill it was very reasonably priced.
Plus it's round the corner from the Bullring, so you can go shopping while your car gets done.

Re: Motor-Mech - Birmingham

I have a day out booked for next friday to have the cam belt and water pump on my 2.0l 20v weekend done, for the second time, so we won't mention mileage before it's changed, just in case. So I am looking forward to a lazy day wandering around. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do while Marea is in hospital ?

Some decent museums in the centre of Brum. Sealife centre or Brindley place for a walk around the canals or 'cut' as we say in Brum.

Re: Motor-Mech - Birmingham

Just got back from Brum. What a find, Paul is a first class mechanic.I was there by opening time and they rang me at 2.25 to say all done. I would definitely reccomend to any one on the forum with a 2.0 l engine, after all a weekend is only a coupe with a bigger boot! Thanks again Paul. and thanks to alll for the reccomendation.

Ps mileage is now 137,000 ! ( that was the second cam belt change and according to the bills the water pump was NOT changed at 72, 000 ! )
