hi, looking for a recomendation for a garage near me to take my car in for servicing.

i have got my car from wakefield, but have had a falling out with them.

i then went to stoneacre at doncaster for my work, but have been messed around a bit by then.

just wondering if there are any better ones around me, i would travel upto 35/40 miles to go to a garage as long as its a good one (y)

p.s. if anyone on here works at a garage, is it possible to get some of the big glossy prints that you see at a dealers to put up on my bedroom wall :D

thanks

i can reccomend the evans halshaw fiat dealership in horsforth leeds. usually take mine there.(y)

Its the fact that i have been back and forth to them to get parts for my car (air hose and wheel cap), and each time they have said they will have it in, but they either dont, or they have the wrong one in :bang:

and i also dont want a crappy chevrolet courtesy car again :p:eek: - thats just me being picky.

i would rather go somewhere else and get treated better and experience a different garage (y)

thanks sammiboo (y)

i hope i can help you out in some form in the near future :D

will i still have full fiat service history if i go there though as it isnt a main fiat dealer :p

I think once your car is above a certain age "main dealer service" isnt as important as long as you have full service history and can prove the car has been well maintained.

When i had the coupe I used motomech - a coupe specailist to do most of the stuff on my car and service and he stamped my book.

When I had the coupe I wouldnt a "normal" garage touch the car. Had to be specialist, which proved to be much better and cheaper than using Fiat themselves. When I took my coupe to Fiat in Rochdale it cost me £250 for new pads and get a door handle fixed and they scratched my car too (n)

Ted Johnson Fiat in Barnsley isn't very far from Wakefield. I haven't used them myself yet though. Presume you fell out with Picadilly?

Go to Walkers in South Otterington. I reckon you could do it in Half Hour if not less. You'll get to see the rally spec Stilo for £15,000 aswell and Lancia's (Main dealers) ;) lol

I reckon a service would be easy enough and cheap enough. Thats wear I took my old Punto all the time. Horsforth, would take you about an hour to get there. Girlfriend lives there and it is so stupidly positioned from A1

horsforth is a terrible location to get to and from the motorway network, though not been too bad a garage with my selespeed.
however have let themselves down a bit this week by not returning a call / quoting £53 for a bulb change.
but overall would recommend them for professionalism, quality of work and attitude of, in paticular, john on the frontdesk.
give them a whirl...

how come you fell out with piccadilly? i've never had a problem there:confused:

they took 2 months to sort out the problem with my fueal gauge which wasnt working, meaning i had to fill up every few days to make sure i didnt run out :(

they removed lots of bits as well, and when i went back to them with a squeeky rear seat which had been removed, they told me to literally go away and sort it myself, which i did with some new bolts and a bit of tape :D
