Good garages in the oxfordshire?

There is a Fiat dealer near Wantage I've had dealings with and they are quite alright, however pricey. What I'm after is a good, trustworthy garage in the Abingdon and Didcot area that know the cars and won't charge an arm and a leg. Fiat at Abingdon seem to be crap, so I don't even consider them.

Any idea?

Re: Good garages in the oxfordshire?

Can see the original post is a few months old now, but may be helpful to anyone else round Oxfordshire to know that a Fiat/Alfa specialist that both me and a mate have found really good are Palmer & Philips (near the BMW/Mini Factory, on the same trading estate as Fox FM). Only trouble can be parking, space is quite tight & they seem pretty popular.

Mellors of Challow (already mentioned) are pretty decent too, the place is pretty dated, but they seemed to know their stuff when i used them with the first Punto.

Re: Good garages in the oxfordshire?

Palmer and Philips are OK. They told me what my ARB clonk was over the phone after an hour of faffing about with a crowbar and the car on a lift had left me clueless, the car always passed it's MoT as the wear was only slight but the rattle drove me mad. They did not insist on me getting it fixed there after the free advice, but I did.
