Question Looking for a good Fiat Garage in Northwest

Hi there,

I've recently become the owner of a 1998 2.4 litre Fiat Marea HLX Turbodiesel.

I'm very interested in getting the cambelt changed asap. I'm after two pieces of information:

1. Any Fiat Specialists in the Northwest (ideally near Warrington) who AREN'T a Fiat Dealership?

2. Any recommendations on what else I should get done when the cambelt is replaced?

I'm aware that my car has the 5-cylinder engine, and that the cambelt change officially requires the engine to be removed. I do know there is another way though, which I think involves twisting the engine somehow?

I know either way will not be cheap, so if I can get any other cambelt-related parts done at the same time, then that can only save me money in the future.

Cheers.

James

How far are you willing to travel.

I can reccomend a few garages but they arent in the Northwest but I have used them when I lived in Rochdale and didnt mind the traveling.

Re: Looking for a good Fiat Garage in Northwest

my dad is very experienced with the 5 cylinder cam belts he has done one in 4 hours before now when the book time is something like 12.5

also the auxiliary belt is a good idea it's cheap and easy to do wile your in there

he works with me at rayrigg motors bowness on windermere it's not like i'm trying to get my garage more work we have plenty as it is but I just want to help someone to get there work done properly if you book it in in the morning you'll be driving away the same day too if the bits are in stock or pre ordered

it is a bit of a long drive from warington thou so maybe you want something nearer

ps we are a fiat dealer

When i lived up in the NW i always used - Mangoletsi - London Rd (A50) - Allostock - Knutsford. There prices we're pretty reasonable and very quick at repairs and ordering parts.
