Re: comeplete a-hole at my dealer...

It annoys the life out of me when receptionists try and tell you about your car, what is the point. To be fair the receptionists at Coventry Motor Company are great, they point me in the right direction and are always friendly. The worrying thing though is that they always remember me, lol.

Keep on at them because that is all warranty stuff. As far as im concerned if it came with the car and its faulty its covered by warranty. Unless its your fault obviously.

Interesting, she obviously shouldnt be working in the servie department thats all i can say. They shouldnt even be arguing about it, its pathetic. There are too many dealers that are trying to pull stunts like this.

Not discreminating against women but you probably spoke to service receptionist rather than someone with more 'technical' experience.

Re: comeplete a-hole at my dealer...

If the front pads on a GP start screeching its a problem fiat have noticed and all that needs doing is a change of the front pads under warrenty.

People have had their door locks giving up on them and hailing from the inside- thus not being able to get out.
they need changing when this happens under warrenty.

the shaft and pully and cheak and report and if so replace under warrenty.

Locks & pads are NOT recalls.

Re: comeplete a-hole at my dealer...

My mistake then, but they may be made into a recall. maybe lol
There pretty common now!

locks and shafts are on and off of backorder every week!

A tip- both drivers side and passanger side locks are the same the only difference is the cable and that clips on and off!

so if you have a left and you need a right just swap the cables and your sorted! = happy you and happy customer!

As noticed by mike allan (parts manager) and olly our workshop manager.

I think you mean 3door lock fits 5 door (on same side) & visa-versa (been doing this since just after xmas) once you swop black cable for white.
