Any idea how much Kwik fit charge for..

  • Wheel balancing/Alignment
  • Changing tyres (i've got the new tyres.. just needs them to change them)

Cheers guys

i got the tyres from a local scrappy.... any idea how much they'll charge to fit them? they offered when i bought them but never thought to ask. cud get my dad to do it for free but he cant do it till next weekend and theyre already balding lol

they'll charge roughly double that a good place will charge, and they'll tell you lies to get more business, such as

"sir i think you should know that your front wheel bearings desperately need to be changed, and your calipers are seized so badly i'm surprised you've survived this long. we cant legally let the car go back on the road until you've paid us £499.50+VAT"

Yup they've told me that legally crap before, i told them to F off and call the police and see how that looked in the local paper and the national news. Needless to say my brakes were fine and all i'd popped in for a a puncture repair on a sunday when everywhere else was closed.

cause they're closed atm heehee
did think of that one ;)

phone them when they are open is probably the best idea:D
when you do phone them make sure theyre open so someone
answers the phone:idea: i think of everything that matters son:D
best of luck with the phone, thats when theyre open that is(y)

i needed twp new tyres on my punto
they put them on fine but then they told me both my wheel trackers needed replacing at 380 quid!
took her down to my local garage and they fixed them both for 30 quid!

My hubby took his to our local kwik fit on a sunday and got the tyres changed on his alloys for about £5/10 each (usually a bit of a back hander as the bosses aint in on a Sunday) lol:D

well for 11.95 per wheel, plus the balancing.. i'll think i'll stick to getting my dad to change them at work for free, and local garage for the balancing =D
