XBOX 360 Repair?

Hello everyone I'm new to this so I hope I'm posting on the right section of the forum...

Right I bought one of the really early xbox 360's (which are known to be very faulty) well one day my green power button just turned red and my xbox wouldn't load anymore (it would be simple for some people, they just send there xbox back because its under warranty, me being an idiot decided to open it up which voids the warranty)

So i needed my 360 repaired so I sent it to GT Electronics http://www.gtelectronics.co.uk/ and my xbox came back working all fine...

I bought Dead Rising and it applied and update to my xbox and after that my 360 just started freezing during game play... Still under warranty with GT Electronics i sent it back to them to repair...

Came back fine and I started doing some online gaming with it and it started freezing during game play again

I think GT Electronics did a sh*t job at repairing it because its always been faulty since... They are now refunding my repair cost and sending my 360 back...

DON'T GET YOUR 360 DONE WITH THEM, THERE A BUNCH OF JOKERS!!!
So now I'm stuck with an xbox 360 that crashes... Does any body know of a place that repairs them and does a damn good job of it?

A strange first post. You are aware that this is a car forum and not a gaming forum?

I think there was a post about this recently. It won't be the fix from GT Electronics, it's the update that's caused it. I don't remember what the thread is called but it was started by Custard IIRC... No doubt he'll be along with his input soon

yep i know this is a car forum my dad PNL is always on here 24/7 an told me there was ppl talking about the 360 on here so i had to check...

right are you sure its not overheating?
get plenty space around the console and the PSU(big power brick) and make sure its cooling.
when the ring of light went red was it all 4 quadrents?

nope it was 3 not 4...
the red light on the power button is no longer the issue now it just crashes during game play...

gona blow the damn thing up soon lol
about the over heating im really not sure...

I keep telling you about this stuff its crap you will get more fun from tiddley winks

i would look to overheating,freezing in glameplay is a common symptom.
if your handy with electrics you can open her up and replace the thermal paste or sell it for parts to the custard
just get your dad to buy another,he's loaded!

its getting sent back to me soon...
i will have to upgrade it then (stick some extra fans in there) to make sure it stays cool...

as for parts not a lot im afraid as i can get xbox/360 parts fairly cheap

im going to put it on ebay i think...
there going for about £80 faulty on there!!!

with the repair money comming back and the money from the faulty xbox i can buy a new one...
