Right guys and gals, this is the official recruitment thread for an online game called 'America's Army'.

Its a quality game... Me, stu, paul and serin play it at the moment, and its a good laugh.

Its a 750-ish mb download, and with take about 2-4 hours on a broadband connection.

Its best to use a download manager for the download, if you have a dodgy connection or will accidentally close it all the time

Any questions just ask, as we have dealt with nearly every teething problem there can be between us.

The offer is here for anybody to send me a SAE and receive a burnt CD too from me btw (I think I have some CD-Rs) BUT to be honest, if you have 512kb/s BB it will be fine and anything much less will mean the game won't work that well.

Chose client version. Once connected, it's a very low bandwidth program that allows you to communicate verbally between team mates/the group of a whole depending on how we decide to set it up.

It really enhances the game. Stu or myself run the AA server, it's easy to join and we provide you with the method for both AA and TeamSpeak (if you want this).

Have another screenshot - been playing around earlier, checking out some new maps. What a great weapon I have.....

Now done my Medic and Special Forces training as well

its a good game, and its not hard to play

Im getting bored of shooting Stu over and over again (only joking stu)

I think I am going to try some Honor game servers later - just been looking through gude, and it seems you need an honour rating of 15 to become a proper SF soldier, even though training may be completed earlier - I did wonder why I couldn't use all the weapons mods?!

Any advice on what server to down load from only getting to 43% on the couple I have tried

try the LX server, thats the best one!

You could use MSN/ICQ but I wouldn't - the size is horrendous - 720Meg or so, lol. Reason why it is best to use that LX Download manager

couldnt you WinZip the file or something to make it smaller

Ive started downloading it but its only going at 50kbps so got bored I usually get around 115kbps.

Busy server? I'll resume when I dont need to use the net

WR, if you used LX download manager that's the maximum it allows, even on my 8Mbit odd uni connection.

However, it's still the best thing to use even if not the fastest.
