I always preffered the game gear to the Game boy, Even though the thing sucked batteries like a hooker on rent day
Mickey mouse castle of illusion was excllent on the GG. The gameboy was addictive too. Tetris anyone ?

Re: sega megadrive

yes, little known fact. the snes was badged as 16bit but was only 8bit.

the megadrive was the more powerful system and had much better games to boot!

Re: sega megadrive

Both systems were excellent and comparing one to the other is never gonna find a winner cuz everyone will have their own favourite. I had a modded Xbox that had over 10,000 games on it from systems like the Megadrive, Snes, Nes, PC engine, N64, Neo Geo, Mame Arcade emulators and more... Well worth the £170 to have it done.

look at the gfx of donkey kong country and tell me thats 8bit. the nes was 8bit, the snes wasnt.
better console than the mega drive anyway. i was always a nintendo person

ive come home tonight and found my snes and mega drive in a cupboard. time for some old skool gaming i think. got them both emulated on the xbox, but its not the same!

i have that adaptor, you could turn gameboy games into colour with it - also had that big rocket launcher thing too

i just had a root under my bed and found an atari lynx, i found that the best of the handheld game consoles, although i dont think it ever really took off

have got a barcode battler somewhere too, that has never been out the box cause it looked to complicated to play

after talking about all these consoles, i know im not gonna leave the house for 2 weeks
