xbox live????????

how much to get the correct broadband?? also how much to get onto xbox live?? i seen an offer for £40 for 12 months, thats crap, isnt there a monthly price??? cheers also any1 else give any info on it? is it good?

xbox live is really a load of ****. i had a go on a mates saturday. on need for speed underground 2. was shocked at a) most the time it runs smooth but odd occassion its will judder. b) the amount of muppets on there who constantly kick u out the room.

the only good thing it does is allow u to download extra features. other than that stick to pc gaming.

this post reminds me is Halo 2 coming out on pc as i cant use this xbox controller for halo i need a keyboard and mouse like cs

£30 for a 12 month subscription, game (i got PGR 2) a router and live headset,although if your on the 750k B/B you pay £5 a month as well. theres no monthly price at the mo,just a yearly sub'. havent been on yet as you need credit card details to set it up and i'm too busy so dont want too waste a couple of months not using it.
you can buy some games with a 2 month trial sub' free, such as Halo 2 if you want to just give it a try.
EDIT: some peeps are selling these trials on ebay for a few quid on there own.

If your xbox is chipped make sure the chip is off when you go on live. It will ban your mac address otherwise.

Whoops i did mean "it" will ban you. I am blaming the crappy keyboard i used at uni for that one.

the ban is easy to bypass if you do get banned just need a spare xbox key and bobs you uncle its done but thats only if you can ftp to your box, which hopefully you should know how to do

I dont have Live, not found any games decent enough to play on it. TBH i rarely use my xbox for games at all. I use it as a media player mainly.

oh sorry mate!!! i am getting broadband on 512kb and then hoping that will be good enough, i will then get subscription to play on halo 1 or 2.. there the games!!! so no1 plays live on here? and can tell me its worth it?
