Is Fallout 3 any good? I've heard different things about it, few people are saying its great, others are saying its not.

Is it worth buying?

I have it I prefered Oblivion, its a good game but the constant quest for ammo does start to grate. You find ammo in decent quantities but never seems to be a gun your carrying usually one you've sold in the previous town as you never found any ammo for it

I was a massive fan of oblivion, spent an inordinate amount of time on it. I got fallout 3 and whilst it is ok I have to say I haven't even bothered finishing it. It has traces of oblivion's brilliance but it isn't anywhere near as good. I would recommended borrowing it or renting it before spending £40 on it, alternatively get it 2nd hand or try find a good deal.

Also i agree with stevenRB45 you spend way too much time looking for ammo.

Its a really good game, I actually prefer it to Oblivion!
The search for ammo near the start can be a bit of a drag but dont forget this is a survival game, so youve got to conserve your ammo and health packs and so on.
Later on in the game you find someone that will trade hi-tech items for assault rifle ammo so its not so much of a problem then! I would say its a must own game!!! Im on my 3rd play through now

Brilliant game, finished the main and side quests, clocked up 128 hrs at the moment and still playing it. Downloadable mission pack (Operation Anchorage) available on XBL tuesday 27th unless date changes.

Anyone dowloaded the mission pack? if so is it worth the points?

Yes . Its good but very short (2-3hrs). You can only play it once per new game but i enjoyed it. Worth the price imo.

same here, started playing it yesterday and i might have another go at it. Getting out of the vault was boring as hell and dragged on for ages without being challenging or entertaining. Was hoping that it would get better once i got out but just seems tedious to me. I dont think these kind of games are for me.

Bought this game for the PC and have been playing it for months, honestly, it's a massive game.

I completed it but decided to go back to the previous game save, as i got a perk to reveal all locations on the map, so i wanted to go back and discover all the loacations on the map.

It really is an awesome game

Yes it was a really great game. Shame the DLC on the PS3 had so many problems.
