Doom 3

Just installed DOOM 3 and had a quick blast at it.

I never knew a game could be so scary.

Anyone else played it yet?

Not sure if it's out yet, if not it's anyway day now. I just managed to get a copy early

brilliant, i'll have to get my hands on that and see if my laptop will run it. it should do.

er it is alright. Not sure what Doom 3 would want my laptop to be mind you.

Laptop is Intel 3.66ghz HT processor. 128mb Nvidia graphics, 1.024gb 333 RAM.
AND A BATTERY THAT DIES AFTER ABOUT 5 minutes if not plugged into the mains!!!

Surely your wanting a better graphics card for a game of such calibre.

It's also better with great speakers I bet you cos I remember playing Doom at secondary school in 1994 and they didn't have speakers but when we got a version for home it was ace! Guns blasting, splattering noises and screams!

Will be a good game no doubt, I'm just wondering if i could procure a copy like cracker did ;-)

ive got an athlon xp 3000+, 512MB DDR333 and an nVidia G4 Ti4200 64MB and it plays it ok, even on high settings.

If you look hard enough on the net you should find it ;-)

haha. I only ever did crap myself when i was younger palying the first ever res evil on ps1. It was bout 3 in the morning, during winter, raining hard, in my computer room/office which is at the back downstairs of the housein an extension, so all alone. mwah hah hah hah.

My PC makes the minimum requirements, but I think I'm gonna wait for the XBox version.

When I installed that leaked alpha / beta it was so damn slow on my, almost unplayable, but thats what you get from dodgy leaks

Its all about the graphics card?.. What does it have? if its a 9700pro mobile it isnt going to work too well. a 2000mhz P4 Desktop with a Ati Radeon 9800XT would wipe the floor with it in games. Why did you buy a laptop that powerfull if its not portable anymore ? :P. And cracker how do you define plays well? Im currently using a ti4200 Piece of s**t because my Ati beast died a nasty burning PCB death.
