psp game (boredom)

i did a bit of research. and saw something about ahving a special battery and memory card (pandora something)

and me confused any1 care to explain????

Depends which version of PSP you currently have.
Do you have the old style or the new slim style?
If it's the old style, what is the current firmware revision?

They give you all the features of the latest official Sony firmware (sometimes extras) - but still allow you to play homebrew and downloaded ISOs.

awesome, downloading now

Right so i did all the firmware downgrades and loaded on that fast loader thing that should play the iso's.

i put an Iso on and it didnt work it just freezes as soon as i click on it.

where am i going wrong.

(i tried multiple Iso's so i doubt they are all broken)

What firmware did you upgrade to in the end?

(Downloading to 1.5 is just done so you can then upgrade to a custom one) - I personally have the Dark Alex 3.40 - however if I were you, I'd put on one of the Team m33 ones.

yeah i have just downgraded/upgraded to 1.50

I'm on the 3.40 Open Edition.

I haven't used the PSP for ages though so never went any higher ... hmm.. actually, I might upgrade it now - see what got better

so with this firmware can i play Iso's and standard UMD's?

Yup

Think its knocking on v4.00 now. Got skype and BT support and all sort of cobblers. I check the scene every once in a while, when they get some new stuff I'll start using it again.

Right ive had a look and i got baffled lol i didnt understand the read me's of most of the downloads what is the easiest firmware to install that will let me play ISO's?

instructions would be good.

ill tell you what i have done so far:

downgraded psp to version 1.50
loaded on fastloader thing (doesnt play ISO's)

I went for the 3.90 M33 one, 'tis awesome! Haven't used my psp so much in the 2 years I've had it!
