Wii vs Xbox360

Ok as alot of you will know, i'm in a bit of a debate of Wii vs Xbox360 vs nothing at the moment, tempted by a new console, had a brief play on the wii at the weekend and wasnt tempted at all by one before then but was quite fun really although that may have been the fact there was quite a few of us and wii has always been more of a party console and fact is i'll usually be playing on console on my own really.

Looks like can get a wii for £179.99 off play.com and a wiinja chip looks to be pretty cheap to sort out and not limit the console in regards to inet access in the same way the xbox360 chips do (also i cant justify paying for online gaming on 360 anyway so thats not really a factor)

as far as 360's are concerned i can get a elite with no games for £270, dont know what deals are out there really

Would like 360 for halo3 and new GTA when it finally comes out although would be nice to catch up on zelda etc

I'm going to say the Wii because as well as Zelda being an absolutely amazing game you can also download loads of old classics to play by yourself

If you come down and help me with the JTD this weekend you can have a go on Zelda and also try to improve your boxing

I second that

the Wii can get a bit repetitive though, its a bit of a laugh when theres a few people playing but other than that you soon get bored of it.,id have the 360 over it anyday,

Buy both?

When they bring out some shoot em ups on the Wii it will be 10x better than the 360. It will play more like a PC shooter which is the daddy tbh

I have both and i cant even remember the last time i played the wii, i suppose it really depends on the type of games your into aswell, with games like Halo 3, GRAW and forza motorsport on the 360 the Wii doesnt really have anything to contend with it as far as serious gaming is concerned.,

Yet

remember the wii is just a GC with an ebay resistor fitted.
whilst it has unique gameplay i dont see the control method translating into every genre convincingly.
the lack of HD graphics may create issues as the graphic prowess of the other 2 shines through
