Best Wii games?

Having come from a PC background it's frustrating not being able to try a game to see if I will like it before having to fork out £40!

So I'm hoping to draw on your experiences.

I've only got Wii Sports so this will really be my first purchase. The Mrs fancies the Harry Potter where as I fancy something with swords in it. Also party games would be good as the Wii is an excellent addition to a nights drinking.

Opinions good and bad please.

Mario Party 8 is good fun in multiplayer mode, but tedious beyond belief in single player.

Yeah I've played MP8 at a party. Was good fun.

Any more opinions?

My nephew is currently in love with the pirates of the carribean game. Looks kinda naff to me tho.

Zelda is an absolute must have Wii game, lots of variety with the remotes

Mario Galaxy is due out soonish too.

Shame Zelda is single player. 2 player co-op games seem thin on the ground.

the metroid game is supposed to be good.

Not thaat i could comment on a site like this, but my old boss had 40 odd wii games but i cant think where he got them maybe if you searched the web you could find out and tell the rest of us.

Zelda is a real good game but as said is a one player.
Red steel is another good game and has a decent multiplayer which is enjoyable! and as one of the earlier games out you can get it from Gamesttion second hand for £27ish!

Zelda is really good. My fav game for wii is excite truck.

Zelda is a great game!

Even tho its single player, we had great fun, i`d do up to one boss then james would take over till the next. So still playing together in a sense. Only prob we had is it didnt auto save at the end and i hit him a few times lol

We have
wii sports (im not keen on that, mainly cos i suck!)
wii play (Great fun! love the fishing)
Big brain (Very good, but becomes a little boring after a while)

Have ordered Trauma centre ( not got it yet cos of strikes)
Pre ordered CSI

Not really found loads of games that jump at us, as for £30-40 a pop its no point getting it unless your gonna like it and play it.

Thats kinda like the shooting game on wii play with the ducks! haha!

best thing is u can get crazy old games like streets of rage + golden axe!!!

that's worth buying a wii for, just to play that. loved that game when it was in Mr B's
