Medal Of Honor Airbourne

Bought it Friday, finished the SP today after just 6 hours play. If you only want this for the SP experience then don't bother. It has just 6 levels, not much variety and the enemies towards the end of the game are hard to kill, 9 head shots on a Nazi Elite and sometimes only 2, depends on the situation and the clipping used in the game engine. They made it hard at the end to try to extend the life of the game, it just p'd me off, I thought this was going to be a true to life experience of WWII, it's closer to Wolfenstien but not as much fun. There's not even any split screen MP. I'll be taking the game back tomorrow. Very disappointed.

I tried to play it, but my GFX card, albeit an ATI X850XT PE, only supports shader 2.0, not 3.0 - not missing much, by the sounds of it.

Re: Medal Of Honor Airbourne

I haven't tried the PC version, I should have mentioned it was the 360, but I would imagine there's not much difference, particularly where the structure of the game lies which is where the problems are. Waaay too short in this day and age

Re: Medal Of Honor Airbourne

Its just another MOH - think the franchise is definitely getting repetitive now..

Re: Medal Of Honor Airbourne

I liked the demo a lot!

But if its a short game I won't bother - should be loads preowned within a few weeks.

Re: Medal Of Honor Airborne

I thought the demo was fantastic and was looking forward to this game but ultimately it was crap.

I should also mention the Springfield Sniper rifle, for some reason when you press fire it decides not to fire at the most convenient times, many times I had the perfect shot lined up and pressed fire only for it not to work, it's very random and extremely frustrating, it's not something that should get past the play testers especially for a big release like this franchise I returned the game this morning.

I can agree on the crap bit. The AI on this game is shockingly bad. You can land in any of the "red" zones on the demo, and still kick the **** out of everyone stood there, seriously, they tell you to land in the green zones, where it is actually harder.....

The graphics are identical for the PC and 360, I downloaded both demos and put them side by side, but your gonna need nothing short of a 8800GTS to get playable framerates.

I got a credit note, I'll use it later in the week for a 360 Elite as I will need the 1080p HDMI connection for a new tele.
