360 elite deal or not?

I know theirs a few threads about it on here this week, but my question is this.

Gamestation will trade in my old 360 and give me a elite with blue dragon for £139

They then said they'll give me £30 trade in on blue dragon right away and i was gonna trade in fifa07 for £10 as the 08 is out soon.

So for £99 im getting a bigger HD and HDMI cables, but mostly a 3 year warranty as mine due up after xmas.

Worth it?

this is it,you still have a years warrenty.if it fails say in the next 6 months you would get a 'free' upgrade to HDMI

i think i'd be looking at making it 'fail' not the right thing to do thou, but hey

well i shall be going to get the elite this week now, because i just sold the faceplate of my current one for 80quid which pays for the difference in price.

it was only on ebay for a hour, watch custard tell me its worth 100's lol

only way i would pay 100 for a faceplate is in pence!

Do the new 360s (not elite) have an HDMI slot?

well like everything in life yes and no
M$ will not give specific dates on hardware revisions as its nothing to do with the end user.
however HDMI is coming(cheaper to produce one type of mobo)for all 360's
good news is the HDMI equipped 360's have the HDMI logo.
AFAIK none in europe yet but they are in the states.
i would guess M$ are expecting halo 3 to help shift 'old' stock 360's

further to the HDMI you have the thiner CPU's and GPU's coming as well.
creating a cooler running 360
again no confirmed dates on either but they are coming.
so in 6 months or so you could have only cooler running HDMI equipped 360's on the shelves

And contary to popular belief, HDMi does make a difference.

agreed. got mine today, i used my old box on HD but with the HDMI its a lot better, plus now it gives me something to do as some games i have to start from the begining again.

The down side was the guy in the shop said the HDD has a few goodies on it games and themes and that, it has bugger all different than the old box other than a few demos.

was also suprised that when i traded in, they check all the contence was in my old box but did not test anything or take any details of me like Game do, could of given them a 3 red light box.

where was that? handy to know
