ps3 to win?

looking to get my ps3 in time for the new gta.
waiting so long because didnt want to pay the rip off full price and wait for the bargains and deals to come out.
anyways in my opinion ps3 was always gonna win the console race, the only reason they are cutting it so close with the finishing line is that they took so damn long to come out.
if im not mistaken the xbox 360 came out almost a year before the ps3 so obviously its got a head start!

IIRC sure i read somewhere GTA was slipping as before it was going against halo 3.

yea i believe you are right none the less the hype for the new gta should definately boost ps3 sales but i have read somewhere that it will be available to all consoles this time and not solely for sony.
i wish that would be the same thing for gears of war :-(

yup its is available on 360(not my type of game) but im sure i saw some 360 exclusive downloadable content.
of course nothing to say the ps3 wont have its own 'exclusive' stuff

ive always been a sony boy so its been the playstations all the way with the exception of my gamecube (impulse buy because of super smash brothers!)
but i guess im just biased tho come to think of it i may impulse buy a 360 just because of gears of war ( im stupid like that)

Had a PS3, now got a 360.

Nothing out for PS3 at the moment, I only traded my old 360 as it was a launch console and was making weird noises and crashing alot, this was before the extended warranty was announced.

If you like GTA and Gow, why not make the educated choice. Buy a 360.
Its cheaper and all the vids floating round the net of GTA aren't pre-renders. They're straight off the 360. Also all EA (sports i think) games will only run at 30fps on the ps3 as opposed to 60 on the 360. The PS also natively outputs at 720 so any game that is being forced to display 1080 or 480 will be using more cpu power and results in a lower frame rate. The 360 does this off chip with a seperate scaler.

Technically, graphically and price wise, I see no reason to get a PS3.

I'm glad I sold my PS3 when I did, it's not really bothered me at all and there's nothing other than VF5 that makes me want it, but that's coming out on the 360 anyway. My brothers really regretting getting a PS3 now, he's gutted there's no games he likes. I did warn him but being a sony fanboy he wouldn't listen

Spoke to a lad in my local shop and he told me that their planning on delaying GTA untill march/aug next year due to their being a contract with all the major consoles that its released on the same day, and he said that the rumors on the internet are that M$ are haiving trouble finishing it, put really its the other way around and sony are having trouble programing it still and are passing the blame via rumors over the net.

so he told me to expect a long wait still.

nothing to do with sony or M$.down to the developers really though it may be to do with support from the console maker

the one game(s) that stopping me selling my PS3 is the gran tourismo series. i think GT5 prologue will be free within the enxt few months, ahead of the release of the proper GT5. nice looking game with stunning looking car models

it's already got the free gran turismo HD game to download? i think the actual game is due for release in spring.

good times for 360 sales especially given halo 3 is looming

whilst halo is a pretty good game i'm not a fan of 'futuristic' sort of games and prefer games based on history eg. ww2 games etc or modern ones. but if i was to go back to the beginning of the year i probably wouldn't of bought my ps3, it is very good but the price has meant i've missed out on things (new car) and there's few good games but now it's beginning to look promising the demo for colin mcrae dirt is amazing. graphics are good and the way the cars drive/handle is excellent.
the best point about the ps3 though is the wireless controllers and being able to turn on the system with them. i can lie in bed and turn the radio on for sound, the tv for picture and ps with the controller it's perfect for someone as lazy as me
