Battlefield 2142

Does anyone on here play Battlefield 2142?

I got the game a few months ago, but it wouldn't play on my PC.
Finally got it working and I'm hooked, just wondered if anybody on here still played it, and if so whats peoples names on the game?

Bit of a BF nut here - played BF1942 & Desert Combat, I still hang around the Jolt servers on BF Vietnam (as Bez Lightyear), played BF2 for a while but got sick of the grenade spammers and am now struggling along with 2142.

It requires a pretty powerful PC to enjoy to its fullest -I can get it to run acceptably at low settings on my AMD 1800XP, radeon 9600XT

Ive got it, never really got into it, I much prefer BF2

I much prefer 2142 over BF2, to be honest. I got the impression that EA got sick of patching BF2's many flaws and just gave it up as the best of a bad job to concentrate on 2142.

The futuristic setting put me off at the start, but 2142 seems a more evenly balanced game - although it's a bit of a choker going into battle without grenades and a peashooter of a gun when you first start off & the unlocks tree is a bit daunting at first. If they made the Walkers a bit easier to kill it would be perfect

BF Vietnam is a great little game & very much underrated, it's a close battle between that and 2142 as to what gets the most use on my pc.
