New PS3 firmware update v1.90.

Looks like Sony have finally got the main bits sorted now,,

You can now stream Video,Music and Pictures to the PS3 from your PC using the new media connect.

720p playback for BluRay.

Improved network selection.

Loads of other stuff that I haven't found yet.

Just need to update the PS Network and all is good.

you can also now access ps3 from psp from any wireless connection point too. how does the media connect work? i couldn't find the online instruction manual.

You will need Windows Media Player 11 or Nero 7 Premuim. If you have either of those (I have both) your fine.

Its free to sign up and it'll tell you exactly what to do.
I recommend using Nero 7 as it will transcode AVIs on the fly as it streams to the PS3.

It works really well as I was listening to music streamed across and viewing the PS3 store and browsing the web on the PS3 at the same time.

I should aslo point out that the latest firmware update has incorperated 720p playback for all BluRay movies, I now have my PS3 set at 720p which will do till next year when I have enough put aside for a 1080p tv.
