360....the peugeot 307 of games consoles

Ive fixed my lil bros mates 3 red lights dooms thing 4 times and this was without even dismantling the xbox360.

All I did was disconnect everything apart from the power supply then hit it (good solid blow) and turn it back on and it worked.

Try it and no I'm not taking the piss, its already broken anyway so what is the worst that could happen.... you break it again?

that one is probably suffering from the gfx chips coming away from the mobo.various fixes online

Mines back with a new motherboard....Finally got to play forza it Rocks!

Well thats mine playing up.
Everything appears to be fine except Forza 2 won't load now. everything else loads no problem but it doesn't even seem to recognis the forza disc.
Have checked for scratches and defects but the disc itself is minted like all my discs!

A few of my friends have also had trouble with Forza 2. I just put the Xbox horizontal and it's worked fine since.

always had mine horizontal. kept making strange noises when vertical.

i never got noises but i always keep mine horizontal on rubber feet

i keep mine horizontal but it used to be vertical and the noise difference is defo noticable to i left it lying down now.,
i hear it can be bad for the discs when the console is standing up.,?
