Simple answer is money/profit. Fiat obviously think there is money to be made going down this road. No surprises here. Always about the wonga.:)
 
I haven't seen one on the road. My local Fiat dealer's one is nowhere to be seen.

I'd love to know how much of a Fiat this car actually is because it strikes me as a bit of a Qubo .. you know.. another companies product with a Fiat badge on it. But why?!
 
If it is based on the L200 it will be very ok. They were well respected on many a farm for many years. There is a good market for this type of vehicle.
 
The common rail sistem is designed by FIAT, every time they improve or re desing the sistem, they sell the old desing to bosh, and bosh re sell it to other brands, FORD for example
 
Same happens for example with the boxer engine, desing by subaru and they sell the desing to Porsche

You do know that pick-ups are classed as commercial vehicles and the speed limit for them is 60MPH even on dual carrigeways and motorways?
