| servo Hi I have probs with my brakes as per other thread. It seems like the servo has gone. Does anyone know what other Fiats this servo is compatible withI rad on another thread that some parts were used from a Punto on another unrelated problem and wondered if the servo could be used of a Punto. BTW It's a 1.7 TD. TA.

| Re: servo Yes I did solve the problem in the end. It was not the servo or the valve attached to the servo it was the brake vacuum pump. It has a spline which slots into the side of the camshaft. This spline wears on the outer edges very slightly. This results in the vacuum pump not turning and not creating a vacuum for the servo. Bought another pump from a breaker off fleabay and it was in worse condition than mine, even though I asked him if the brakes were working prior to buying it. Resolved the issue by getting someone to put a couple of tack welds on worn edges of the spline and filing down to make good. Still works although the pedal is hard before startup and then works as per servo assisted after the car is started.
