General Calling all fiorino owners.

I got an N reg 1.7 deisel, 88,000 but I think it had been clocked , it rusted very bad around the roof weld & started to leak so I fixed it with 2" strips of self adhesive flashband all the way around the top. :p

Hi Mate
Got a v reg 1.7td but only 30,000 on. Great work horse use it for building work gets some hammer and puts up with it don,t see many about tho, recommend a one to anyone.

Nice to see that some people care for the Fiorino!

My dad had a c reg Fiorino about 15 yrs ago(1050 127 front)and i havent seen another since, and his also seems to have been scrapped:(

The one my dad had was "repaired" by him,the bottom of the doors were rotten,so he taped over them with pvc tape and then painted over the top,i think part of the carb was loctited together too:p always had a soft spot for it but i havent seen one since:(

hello,
just bought a 1989 1.3ish fiorino for £500 quid, with about 51,000 miles on the clock! its a great little van, but a bit gravelly in lower gears...have already discovered the fan belt problems, but up until now it was used as a wheelchair transporter van...so engine probably needs a bit of tweaking!

sadly my mini hitop Fiorino has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky, cambelt broke & cobbled up the engine & the repair quote was 3 times the value of the van:eek:
So beware & get your cambelt changed,
Have you noticed how they rust all round the roof where its welded on? its a bad water trap & you can see the rust from the inside also & the water will start to drip in, heres a tip to fix it
Use flashband & cut 4 pieces into a long 3" wide strip & roll it on using a hot air gun so it melts the mastic firmly on, cured(y)

Hi Chris (y)
Use mine for building gear, V reg but only 36000 miles on clock, thats about to change tho, driving it to Bulgaria soon going to live out there starting house refurb biz so it,s gonna take a hammering. Fiorino's are ten a penny over there you see them everywhere so should be cheap parts. Must admit had a few vans in my time and this is best one I have had, it gets a bashing.

As this is my first car, i dont have a flipping clue really...as it was sat (i think) in a garage for about a year...its a bit chuggy at the moment...and conks out a bit...the fan belt went on a trip down the motorway...but thats sorted and now the engine sounds like an angry tiger...hmmm...any tips or hints that make it run smoother that a novice like me can tweak? without getting into the unknown too much! thanks...i love this little van...and want it too last!
