Hi

I have purchased a Fiat Fiorino for 4 months now and I have spent SGD$2000 on repair. Installed new engine mounting, new alternator, new crank sensor, new battery and etc etc. The previous owner spent about $11000 to have the gearbox and clutch assembly all repaired.

Are all the big tickets items over?

I'm in two minds about selling. This van is so cute and handy. It is useful and the fuel consumption is so good.

Hi
What year is it..
Petrol or diesel..?
It does sound like youve replaced some of the larger service parts.

Corrosion can be an issue in the body..
Climate plays a part..

2009 , 1.3 Multijet diesel.

reasonably reliable, :)

but do have some parts that give problems..,

does it have a soot / trap ( Diesel Particulate filter) in the exhaust..??

corrosion usually to the lower part of car floor to the edge "sills" ,
mainly in Cold / Damp climates, :(

not sure how high humidity in HOT countries effects this..??

which parts? If those items are repaired do they last 2 years? In singapore its pretty hot and a big humid but i wouldnt consider it damp so.. i guess i dont have that problem here?

I really need help from people who own this model! I only gotten the cat 4 months now and spent close to 2k on repairs, some mecahnics here says the repairs are endless... or those items that are repaired doesnt last...

are those true???

does it have a DPF in the exhaust..??
that is the biggest issue:(

I thought the ones before 2011 don't have dpf as mentions in previous threads .
If you turn the ignition on the dpf light comes on which means it has dpf if it doesn't come on ,it hasn't. Although mine doesn't come on ,but if I plug in alfaobd scan , I can get the dpf light to come on. So I'm bit confused :bang:! If my van has got dpf or not ???
Fiorino 1.3 sx mjtd 2010.

Hi Gizzybusy,
Mine is a 2009 Qubo, when I purchased it the DPF was available as a factory fitted option, not fitted as standard at that time. Fortunately, I decided to not go for it......thats saved me a whole heap of aggro over the years.
Cheers Qube O.

Gizzy.

I maybe wrong not having my qubo long, I think the DPF is located just under the exhaust manifold front of engine bay.

So you should be able to see if fitted or not, like I say I could be wrong though.

Phillip.

Fiorino 1.3 sx mjtd 2010.

the DPF - it's halfway down the exhaust.. under floor AFAIK

It needs to be very close to the engine as it depends on exhaust heat to work. I read Fiat moved it a few inches closer after the first try, it will be tucked down the front of the engine with lots of silver heat shield. A properly maintained and appropriately used engine should have no dpf issues anyway. if using a scan tool look up the dpf regen data in the engine ecu, that will tell you last regen temp and mileage and more. If you have one..

Thanks boys, I'll have a look and post a pic , just a quicky , who ever who's car has dpf, when you switch ignition on ,all the lights on dash come on , does the dpf light come on or not, cos mine doesn't, I only found out when I was playing with alfaobd on my tab, I tested every light on dash , when I saw the dpf button pushed it and the dpf light lit up , I thought Mmmmm !!!!
Maybe it has dpf, can't remember which thread ,someone mentioning any qubo or fiorino before 2011 don't have dpf,
