Not a good day today.
While at a junction waiting to turn right a school run mother decided to ram into the back of me, apparently she did not see me?
She was in so much of a hurry it was hard work getting all our details together, I took loads of photo's, but the back of luigi is a right state both doors and the bumper, but i think if it wasn't for the tow bar the damage would have fare worse.

Well tomorrows the day LUIGI goes off to have his back end sorted out.
As the rear bumper had some minor scratches on it from the previous owner do you reckon that this will be replaced as well? i did lose the the stainless protector that was stuck on top of the bumper, as this was bent up the rear doors preventing them from opening

Fingers crossed............

May be worth installing a rearward facing dash cam ??, I'm thinking about adding one to my Qubo. Installed a rear view mirror mounted dash cam for the front a while ago.....works well, and didn't cost a fortune.

Cheers Qube O.

Need advice!
Do I get my bumpers colour coded while I'm at it?
LUIGI

You could do if they're off (rear ones at least). I had mine done - £200 plus mirror caps. Looked great all in red to go with the van and stopped that 'heavy' look of the big mouth at the front. They painted the whole front red then blacked in the grille region afterwards. The only issue I had with that was stone chips taking the black off showed red underneath but otherwise it looked great.

Well I've decided(y)
I'm going for front and back colour coded bumpers and a wheel refurbish.
Taking luigi a body shop i know '' pride and joy'' in wisbech on Monday morning for a run-down of what's to be done
A professional colour sand and buff up as well so he looks like new again.

Decided to give LUIGI a makeover.....https://www.fiatforum.com/attachmen...nt.php?attachmentid=157575&stc=1&d=1437239013
Do you think doing white where the number plate goes would spoil the look?
Also shall i keep the wheels in silver to match the front and rear gaurds or go for something else?
The doors will now have glass in them blacked out as i had perspex before.
New front bumper with fog holes

LUIGI

Agree with most of it apart from doing white where your plates go would look naff.....( in my opinion )

Apart from that it would look really smart!

Visited bodyshop this morning [Pride and joy of Wisbech] and things are looking good so far, rear glass doors are on and being prepared for primer all dings are gone and washer jet hole filled.
front and rear bumpers were being sanded for primer along with mirror shells.
Wheels are next on the list.
I've gone and got an awsome rear tail pipe trim to fit when i get him back home.
and....the interior gets a makeover as well with a 3M dash cover set in brushed stainless for heater panel top and bottom, radio heater vents door window switches.
Here is a link to the dash trim kit and the bodyshop.

Yes, thick enough to hold their shape well, and the adhesive on them is top notch, really grips and holds. I applied each piece very lightly, so I could adjust as needed, then put pressure on to fix it into place. Did mine about 18 months ago, and not a single bit has moved or started to peel off. Very impressed.........

Have fun, Qube O.
