Hello
First post on here and it is to get help I am afraid
My other half drives a Fiat Fiorino multi jet combi 2010 I am not sure on the engine size to be honest
Two weeks ago she managed to hit a Drain inlet in the kerb ( the one in the kerb rather than flat in the road) anyway she needed a new wheel and tyre as both were beyond repair
Since then the car is pulling even after having two attempts as tracking it , she was told it needs new bushes before they can have another go at the tracking
I haven't had chance to have a look myself yet to see what could be wrong other than that it was driving Ok until Friday afternoon when she told me the ABS warning has come up on the dash apparently it went off again for a short time and now it's back on again and not going off
The dealers want £75 to put it on the diagnostic to have a look I do have a code reader but I can't find the diagnostic socket on the car any ideas where it is please
I am not sure which category this car/ van should be in ie mpv or commercial if someone could point me in the correct direction please
Myself I am a Vauxhall driver (currently a 63 plate insignia elite nav 163 ST )

the socket is under the cover below the steering wheel by the fuse box
there are 2 screws that hold the cover on

Brilliant thanks for that I will have to have a look then
Any suggestions on the abs problem ?

You can use the ignition key to undo the 2 screws holding the access panel on.

:mad:Just tried my code reader and it is only engine and transmission codes that it can read

Right so we had the code read and its C0037 rear left wheel speed sensor so next question is there a site to buy fiat parts that any one can recommend

I would get some tests done on it first before putting a sensor on it tbh

Looks like it's a genuine fiat part only £57.26 unless anyone can point me in the direction of a pattern one

Ok
So it definitely is the sensor after loads of looking around at car factors none of which could help I entered the umbers directly off of the sensor and found a sensor on eBay £30 ish posted so going to try this
However my new code reader Foxwell nt644 which is supposed to do any car or system still can't talk to the car has any one any ideas who actually builds the car

When you say can't talk to the car do you mean any systems on it or the abs ?

It will speak to the engine no problem but it finds nothing else
I have tried it on the safety system search and a couple of the other options
I tried it on the Citroen nemo and had similar results but I can't read the abs for some reason
It says it can not communicate

Sounds like the only function in you scan tool for your vehicle is obd2 unfortunately , have you tried it in Peugeot aswell ?

My scanner is OBD11/EOBD what do I need it to read any idea I didn't try Renault to be honest I will stick the sensor on when it turns up do you think this should clear the abs fault assuming all is sorted with the new sensor
What scanner are you using if you don't mind me asking

Obd and obd2 purely relate to engine/emissions systems on any vehicle 2001 on for petrol and around 2005 for diesels,in respect of what you need to read all systems any scan tool with full manufacture coverage , ie snap on , launch , auto diagnos etc but you are in to big money and subscriptions , some of the other guys on here may be able to advise you on any other pieces of kit they use .
My kit I use as a hobby tool at home is a snap on ethos , only use that for any home work I may do , in fortunate that I can use all the kit at work when I wish so for fiat use main dealer tool on a laptop , likewise the same for ford , Jaguars, landrover, psa, Volvo, merc, bmw, vag,Vauxhall,Saab,Toyota,Mitsubishi, along with a few other multi make tools and lots of key programming kit aswell , thankfully my boss doesn't mind investing and training . Sorry for the long winded reply.

Still no luck with this
Does anyone know what type the ABS is,is it Bosch 8 ?

Was that still no luck reading the rest of the systems or no luck with the replacement sensor?

Hope you get it sorted either way, good luck

Ken

I have the sensor I just can't read the ABS system To reset it or even get it to read the code ?
