Off to the dealer on Saturday to have strut bearings fitted, the old one's were supposed to be the re-designed one's so clearly they do not last either.
The one's i'm having fitted are from Febi Bilstein which i got from Germany, these look really well made and the bearing part is completely encases in rubber.
Rear springs are uprated one's, as mine are a bit saggy and on the last mot it was pointed out that they had to set the headlights low to get a pass on the beam setter.....There was no load in the rear during the test.

Hi,
Had mine replaced under warranty about 2 years ago.............and (touch wood) no problems up to date. Perhaps your re-designed ones were in fact just old stock ?? who knows.........The 'new' ones are topped off with a thick rubber layer, with very very little exposed metal.

Good luck anyway, and lets hope that these from Germany solve the problem full time.

Cheers Qube O.

All done then(y)
The new top mount bearings fitted ok and compared to the one's that came off these were much superior in quality.
I've got the ones that came off and i'll wack some pic's up so you chums can see what they look like, then a comparison can be made.
Rear springs have thrown the back of the van up, and the ride is more firmer.
